In this Lenten season help us to take Isaiah words seriously.
The true fast is: to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke
To share our food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
to clothe the naked ,
and not to turn away.
We pray for faith renewed, for hope restored and for love refreshed, not just by giving up the easy things, but by doing acts of love.
May we all have a God guided Lent!
